Los psicólogos han dividido a los seres humanos en muchas categ
orías, pero me gusta en particular la forma como lo hace el escritor William Barclay. En opinión de Barclay, la gente se puede dividir en dos grandes grupos:
1. Los que ante los desafíos dicen: «Es imposible».
2. Los que ante los mismos desafíos responden: «Vamos a intentarlo».
Como ejemplo, este autor menciona la orden que el Señor dio a los discípulos de predicar el evangelio «hasta en las partes más lejanas de la tierra» (Hech. 1:8).
¿Puedes imaginar lo que significaba para un puñado de discípulos, sin estudios, el desafío de cubrir toda la tierra con el mensaje de salvación? En realidad eran apenas unos centenares de creyentes (ver Hech. 1:15; 1 Cor. 15 6). Unos centenares, ¿para evangelizar a cuántos? ¡A todo el mundo conocido!
Ante semejante desafío, ¿cómo culpar a los que dijeron: «Esta tarea es imposible»? Pero los discípulos obedecieron la orden de su Señor de ir «a las gentes de todas las naciones» (Mat. 28:19). ¿Cuál fue el resultado? Que a través de los siglos, millones de personas han aceptado a Cristo como Salvador, incluyéndote a ti y a mí.
¿A qué clase perteneces tú? ¿A los que ante los desafíos dicen: «Es imposible» ? ¿O a los que responden: «Vamos a intentarlo» ?
Piensa por un momento en los desafíos que ahora mismo estás enfrentando. ¿Tienes problemas con tus mejores amigos o amigas? ¿Piensas que nunca te vas a casar porque nadie se fija en ti? ¿Estás luchando con un vicio que quiere esclavizarte? ¿Hay en tu vida algún pecado acariciado, que con el transcurso de los días se ha estado fortaleciendo? En tus estudios, ¿hay alguna materia que temes pueda arruinar tus aspiraciones de graduarte?
La lista puede ser interminable, pero cualquiera sea el desafío que ahora mismo estés enfrentando, no digas: «No puedo vencer». Tú y yo no somos de los que dicen: «Es imposible». Al contrario, pertenecemos al grupo de los que dicen: «A todo puedo hacerle frente, gracias a Cristo que me fortalece» (Fil. 4: 13).
Señor, decido ahora mismo entregarte mí vida. Sostenme con tu mano poderosa al enfrentar los desafíos de este día.

Psychologists have divided human beings in many categories, but I particularly like the way William Barclay the writer does. According to Barclay, people can be divided into two main groups:
1. Those who face challenges that say: "It is impossible."
2. Those who face the same challenges who answer: "Let's try it."
As an example, the author mentions the command the Lord gave the disciples to preach the gospel "even in the farthest parts of the earth" (Acts 1:8).
Can you imagine what it meant for a handful of disciples, with no education, the challenge of covering the whole earth with the message of salvation? In fact they were only a few hundred believers (see Acts. 1:15, 1 Cor. Jun. 15). A few hundred, to evangelize how many? Everyone they met!
Faced with this challenge, how can we blame those who said: "This task is impossible"? But the disciples obeyed the command of the Lord to go "to the people of all nations" (Matt. 28:19). What was the result? That through the centuries, millions of people have accepted Christ as Savior, including you and I.
What group do you belong to? Those who face challenges and say, "It's impossible"? Or those who respond, "Let's try"?
Think for a moment about the challenges we're facing right now. Are you having problems with your best friends? Do you think you'll never get married because nobody notices you? Are you struggling with a vice that wants to enslave you? Is there any sin in your life your clinging to, that in the course of the day has been getting stronger? In your studies, is there any subject that you fear might ruin your aspirations to graduate?
The list can be endless, but whatever the challenge we're facing right now, do not say: "I can not overcome." You and I are not of those who say, "It's impossible." Instead, we belong to the group of those who say: "I can face anything" , through Christ who strengthens me" (Phil. 4: 13).
Lord, I choose to surrender my life right now. Hold me with thy mighty hand to meet the challenges of this day.
